I am RIlind.
I was born in New Zealand, where I spent my educational years until my mid-twenties. I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Auckland, where I double majored in Psychology and Philosophy. My main focus in Psychology was on the three schools of Psychoanalysis—Sigmund Freud, Carl Jung, and Viktor Frankl—and the school of Gestalt therapy. In parallel to my tertiary studies, I also dedicated time to studying Alfred Adler's Individual Psychology and Erik Erikson's Theory of Psychosocial Development.
After graduating, I sought to balance my understanding of Western Psychology by dedicating the following 15 years, between schools and Eastern practices, to studying Buddhist Vipassana, the Christian Esoteric writers of the Philokalia, and the late Latin American mystics, such as Carlos Castaneda.
As a consequence, I developed Psychosomatology, a discipline aimed at integrating the three aspects of our Psychology that form the entirety of our Individual Experience. Only once we establish coherence between our Thoughts, our Emotions, and our Sensations can we begin to create a Healthy Psychological Experience of ourselves in our daily life.
In addition to all of this, it has been my own experience, my own difficulties and sufferings, both in the experience of my life and in my relationship with myself, that have been a major contributing factor to what I teach. All the psychological tools I have developed have helped me create a healthy experience of myself. These tools form the foundation of Psychosomatology.
Above all, this discipline is rooted in the work I have done on myself, in the tools I have developed and used in my own psychology and life. They are my verifications, and I would like to share them with you.
